I had a private room and the sea breeze is awesome thru the louvered windows. Really get that tropical atmosphere. Aircon was good when used. Spent 6 days and nights here, wish I could have stayed months. The 3rd floor restaurant is popular and they make great tropical drinks. A really laid back town and staying here is just right. I spent some time visiting in the dorm room and the pods are really cool. More spacious than you might think and good privacy. The bar closes down around 10 pm as does the entire town so no issues with late night noise. The chickens and dogs are early risers, its easy to get into the rhythms here, early to bed and early to rise. Great view of the sea from up top and sunset photo opportunities are good in the evenings. If you want to feel like you have reached the very edge of civilization - this is the place. They did my laundry for $10 BLZ which is only $5 USD. What a bonus! Some issues with the wifi here, I am writing to Jama with my suggestion for improvement. I went during the dry season, there would be an extra "adventure" in the rainy season as the hostel is on a dirt and gravel road. No clue how they would deal with all the mud.
Staff is super courteous and quite good at their jobs.
I plan to return many times to A Piece of Ground.
